Healthcare employers

As one of the nation’s premier healthcare staffing companies, MedStaff has provided staffing solutions to a diverse client base since 1988. The tertiary-care facilities we serve range from small rural hospitals to multi-hospital systems; governmental and civilian institutions included. To date this base exceeds 1500 facilities from all areas of the United States.

Just as our client base has grown, so has our staff. Our database currently consists of over 50,000 healthcare professionals, predominately Registered Nurses, LPN’s, CNA's, Surgical Technicians, and Respiratory Care Practitioners encompassing all hospital specialties. Our efforts concentrate on providing a cost-effective service while promoting continuity of care to patients.

Our philosophy -- clinically -- encourages holistic care to the patients of our clients. We promote practice from the perspective of assisting the patient to achieve maximum potential in his/her environment. Administratively, we promote striving to achieve both employee and client satisfaction through fulfilling the details required for a successful work experience.

Our success has been achieved through exhaustive efforts in four major areas:

1 . Screening, which includes:

  • Interview/Application (including extensive work history)
  • License Verification/Skills Inventory
  • Knowledge of Practicum Test (includes medication administration)
  • Two (2) Work References
  • Proof of Current CPR Certification/other certifications as applicable
  • Physical Exam including titres for Rubella, Rubeolla, Varicella and Hepatitis B (and declination), PPD and Urine Drug Screen

2. Quality Monitoring

MedStaff conducts performance appraisals after each assignment and on an annual basis. The appraisals enable MedStaff to keep continual updates on the performance of our nurses and our allied health professionals. The appraisals are completed in conjunction with the client and are performed as part of MedStaff’s Total Quality Management Program. The appraisals are available upon request.

3. Educational Development

In addition to regular OSHA training and CPR, MedStaff offers a unique, continuing education opportunity for its nurses and allied health professionals nationwide. The service entitled M.E.D.S. (MedStaff Educational Development Service) was created to promote convenient and up-to-date educational programs for our staff, accessible on-line, throughout the United States. Through M.E.D.S., MedStaff can ensure that its nurses and allied health are in full compliance with state board continuing education requirements as well as other regulatory agencies.

4. Retention

MedStaff recognizes the value of retaining its healthcare professionals on a long-term basis. As a result, MedStaff has implemented an unequaled referral bonus program in addition to maintaining highly competitive hourly rates and offering comprehensive health benefits and 401k.

MedStaff is prepared to assist your facility in its recruitment efforts. One of our branch managers would be more than happy to discuss the staffing needs of your facility. Our expertise in filling those needs will be put to work immediately. We remind you, our service does not obligate you to use us exclusively nor does it require you to sign a contract in order for us to begin our search. Give us a call, put us to work for you, we do look forward to hearing from you.
